EventMAP begins implementation project with Limerick and Clare Education and Training Board

Another exciting new business win to reveal this week at EventMAP: we’re delighted to announce that we have begun a trial implementation project with Limerick and Clare Education and Training Board of our course timetabling software Timetabler.

‍Limerick and Clare Education and Training Board – the state education and training authority for the Limerick and Clare region in Ireland – delivers educational services to over 34,000 students/learners across its administrative region annually. It has responsibility for 3 Community National Schools, 18 Community Colleges, 33 Further Education and Training Centres; and it works with community groups in almost 300 locations across its region. It is one of the largest of the 16 statutory regional education authorities delivering Further Education and Training provision throughout Ireland.

Limerick and Clare Education and Training Board’s requirement was for scheduling software with the flexibility and power to manage a wide range of differing Further Education and Training (FET) course delivery provisions, and provide alignment with the learner administration system used by all Education and Training Boards. Working closely with the senior team at Limerick and Clare Education and Training Board, Timetabler is initially being trialled in the Further Education and Training Centre, Clonroad Campus in Ennis, with an anticipated rollout to the ETB’s other campuses in the region.

The many variations in the types of FET courses and course delivery existing within the ETB provides a particular challenge to ensure the system works intuitively and efficiently for administration staff, tutors/teachers and learners alike. There is, of course, also the potential to closely integrate with the learner administration system used by all the other ETBs and we’re currently establishing any additional configuration or functionality that may be required – in particular with the automated management of course schedule and format changes via a future potential synchronisation interface with the learner administration system. Upon successful implementation within Limerick and Clare Education and Training Board, we envisage the system becoming a ready-made solution available for adoption throughout all the Education and Training Boards in Ireland.
