EventMAP Share in West of Scotland Knowledge Transfer Partnership Centre, Project

October 15, 2020

EventMAP are delighted to announce that we recently attended the launch meeting for a new KTP Project. The aim is to research and deliver an optical based sensor system to capture occupancy data. This fits perfectly with the work we have been involved with in recent years, in the utilisation and optimisation of teaching estate. The ability to capture occupancy data, in real time, without the need to fit multiple room sensors, or rely on staff to undertake regular headcounts has great appeal. The University of Strathclyde indicated its desire to engage EventMAP on this undertaking.

The meeting between the University and EventMAP signalled the first such project for the West of Scotland KTP Centre in Northern Ireland. We at EventMAP are immensely proud that this milestone is in association with us.

Because of the current pandemic the meeting had to be undertaken remotely via videoconference. It is encouraging to note that such innovation is not being impeded by the current health crisis, and we are thrilled to be a part of this project.
