EventMAP directors to present paper at the ARC Timetabling Practitioners Group

EventMAP Directors to present a paper to the ARC Timetabling Practitioners Group at King’s College London on the 18th of May.

April 17, 2018

We’re delighted that our CEO Dr. Barry McCollum and our CTO Dr. Paul McMullan have been invited to present a session at the next meeting of the prestigious Academic Registrar’s Council (ARC) Timetabling Practitioners Group, which is taking place at King’s College London on the 18th of May.

The ARC group is large forum for timetablers in Higher Education which discusses issues relating to the theory and practice of timetabling, explores new ideas and developments and shares best practice within the timetabling community of UK universities. The group seeks to identify ways to raise the profile and highlight the importance of timetabling in HEIs and to improve understanding among non-timetablers of the demands and complexities of timetabling.

The EventMAP team will be presenting a paper on the hot topic of how universities can use scenario planning to improve the way they plan timetables around the demands of ever-fluctuating student admissions.

If you’re a member of the group, Barry and Paul look forward to seeing you next month. If you’d like to find out more about ARC’s Timetabling Practitioners Group, you can read more on their website here.
