Decarbonising UK public buildings to cost £25-30bn

EventMAP are proud to be at the heart of the Metropolitan Police Service’s Net Zero Carbon campaign

December 14, 2022

A recent BBC news article highlighted the level of investment needed to decarbonise public buildings in the UK. It is great to see such an important issue getting more public exposure. In truth, the BBC’s article doesn’t begin to touch on the many layers of complexity associated with decarbonisation on this scale.

EventMAP are proud to be at the heart of the Metropolitan Police Service’s Net Zero Carbon campaign. Encompassing both strategy and implementation, it’s a campaign that’s aiming to accelerate delivery of Net Zero Carbon to 2030 as opposed to 2050. The scale of the challenge is truly massive – interfacing with almost all aspects of one of largest, most complex operational environments in the world. Working side-by-side, we're using our experience and expertise in transformational delivery, alongside our unique approach to data modelling and data-based decision making to deconstruct that challenge into an achievable, realistic transformation programme.

What makes us even more proud is to see the team get recognition for their approach to Net Zero Carbon, having recently been awarded ‘Most Creative Approach in Advancing the Progress Towards the Net Zero Agenda’ by the National Police and Estates Group (NPEG).
