EventMAP Team Completes Belfast Marathon in Support of Sustainability Initiative

EventMAP host the AUDE 2026 Club Run in support of the Woodland Trust

May 13, 2026

Following a successful AUDE 2026 conference and two well-attended EventMAP Run Club sessions, the EventMAP team continued the week’s momentum by taking part in the Belfast Marathon in support of an environmental charity initiative.

Sixteen members of the team completed the marathon alongside guest runner Dawn Birch from the University of Cambridge, raising funds for The Woodland Trust.

The charity was nominated by Dawn and reflects the University of Cambridge’s close work with environmental and sustainability initiatives. Supporting The Woodland Trust also aligns strongly with EventMAP’s own aspirations around sustainability and environmental responsibility, values that continue to shape the company’s work across the higher education sector.

Earlier in the month, EventMAP hosted the AUDE 26 Run Club, which saw a good turnout across both mornings and provided delegates with an opportunity to connect informally while promoting wellbeing during the conference.

The Belfast Marathon then gave the EventMAP team an opportunity to build on that positive energy together outside the conference environment while supporting a meaningful cause.

Barry McCollum, CEO at EventMAP commented:

“The response to the EventMAP Run Club at AUDE 2026 was fantastic, and it was great to finish to the month of April by coming together as a team for the Belfast Marathon. Raising money for The Woodland Trust made the experience even more meaningful, particularly given the close connection to sustainability and the university sector.”

The initiative reflects EventMAP’s continued focus on wellbeing, collaboration and sustainability, both within the organisation and through its work with universities across the UK and internationally.
