EventMAP will be heavily involved in MISTA 2017 which takes place this year from 5th to 8th December in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
At EventMAP, we’ve always been very proud of our strong ties with the worldwide community of scheduling researchers and we’re happy to announce that, once again, we’ll be heavily involved in MISTA 2017, the eighth in this renowned conference series, which takes place this year from 5th to 8th December in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
MISTA (Multidisciplinary International Scheduling Conference: Theory & Applications) is a long-running biennial conference that serves as a forum for researchers, practitioners and vendors working on all aspects of multi-disciplinary scheduling in areas such as artificial intelligence, computer science, engineering, management, manufacturing, mathematics and operational research.
Our Managing Director, Dr. Barry McCollum is a co-chair of the conference and he’ll also be hosting one of this year’s plenary sessions.
This year’s MISTA, taking place against a continued background of worldwide financial pressures – and major cuts within universities in Malaysia – is perhaps more relevant than ever, giving some of the world’s top researchers in the field a forum to present papers on both the cutting edge of scheduling theory and the practical application of scheduling as a way of making almost every facet of human activity more efficient.
MISTA’s organisers currently have a call for papers out for the conference – if you’re interested in submitting a full paper or and extended abstract, you can submit here. You can also find more general information at the MISTA web site.
