New York University Abu Dhabi campus ready to (en)roll

It’s always very satisfying when a major client project comes to fruition – and in this case it’s huge: the Downtown Campus of New York University Abu Dhabi, which has recently opened, and just started to enroll its first students for the upcoming academic year.

Eventmap had been contracted to provide a SpaceMAP consultancy for this project when it was in its planning stage. Our work included providing a full validation of the amount and configuration of space within the new campus at the planning stage – a complex project which required us to develop a careful understanding of the approach taken to higher education in the UAE and of the requirements of a very complex curriculum.

With such a large scale project, careful needs analysis is of paramount importance and our consultancy established the optimal level of teaching rooms, labs, research space and staff offices required to meet initial and future program needs.

Kicking off the first term with an optimal campus configuration means we’re confident that NYU’s first intake of students will find their experience to be first class. We’re also happy to report that we’ll be back on campus later this year for phase two of the project.
