NHS Lothian Adopts EventMAP’s Optime Booker for Desk and Room Booking

NHS Lothian has confirmed the rollout of EventMAP’s Optime Booker, a cutting-edge digital room and desk booking solution, as part of its wider drive to modernise estate utilisation across its sites. The move aims to improve space efficiency, support flexible working, and reduce administrative burdens across its healthcare estate.

Optime Booker is a smart, cloud-based platform developed by EventMAP, a UK-based technology company specialising in optimisation and planning solutions for complex organisations. Designed to enable seamless management of shared workspaces, the system allows NHS Lothian staff to easily book desks, meeting rooms, and shared spaces in real-time, via desktop or mobile.

The implementation comes amid growing demand across the NHS for agile working practices and smarter use of physical infrastructure. By using Optime Booker, NHS Lothian expects to enhance staff productivity, reduce unnecessary travel between sites, and cut estate costs by maximising existing space.
