February 13, 2018

Starting off 2018 as we plan to go on, EventMAP are pleased to announce their appointment as space profiling and timetabling consultants to the exciting new University Academy 92 (UA92) campus in Manchester.

UA92 is a new concept in higher education that takes an innovative approach – focusing on preparing students for careers in the worlds of sport, media and business by delivering a curriculum with employability and character development at its core, wrapped around by academic development. It’s a collaboration involving Lancaster University, Microsoft, Trafford Council, Trafford College, and the ‘Class of 92’ – former Manchester United players Gary Neville, Ryan Giggs, Nicky Butt, Paul Scholes and Phil Neville, who will be working with the project to bring personal development and elite performance techniques to enhance student learning experiences.

UA92 will operate from the former Kelloggs Building, adjacent to the Lancashire County Cricket Club in Trafford, Manchester, the first students will commence studies in September 2019. Currently, the objective is to achieve an enrolment of 6,500 students in UA92 programs by 2028.

Having worked with Lancaster University since 1998 in the delivery of space planning and management solutions, EventMAP will be undertaking a comprehensive space profiling, planning and timetabling exercise for the new campus. As UA92’s delivery focus will differ from traditional university models, an innovative approach to scheduling course content delivery across the academic year will be required and EventMAP’s expertise in this area will ensure that the space provided within UA92’s Building will be appropriate for delivery needs – and that an optimal quality timetable can be delivered for students.

We’re really looking forward to working with Lancaster University on what looks likely to be a fantastic project. If you’d like to learn more about EventMAP’s SPACEMAP space profiling, management and planning service, you can read all about it here.
